Did you know a child’s bike can provide a child with a sense of independence and an opportunity to incorporate fun physical activity into their summer?
United Way of Colchester County’s Bikes for Kids program gives local children, that would not be able to otherwise, the opportunity to own a bike. United Way collects gently used bikes from the community for volunteers to tune up and distribute to children in Colchester County.
The program is over for 2017 and will reopen for applications and donations in May 2018. If you are interested in bike or know of someone who needs one?

In 2018, we'll be accepting gently-used children's bikes or tricycles after May 1, 2018. We especially need 20 and 24 inch wheel bikes.
How your gift makes a difference - A gift to the Bikes for Kids Program helps to ensure all children have the same access to fun and physical activity. Owning a bike allows a child to join their friends on summer adventures and gives them a chance to be physically active.
